Ever since I've updated my iPhone to iOS 5.0.1 I've been having major battery life issues. Where I could leave my iPhone unplugged for up to 2 days before the update my battery is dead in 4-6 hours now.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem or should I just wait for iOS 5.0.2? I'm working on my girlfriend's old 3GS now (with the same settings as the ones on my own iPhone 4) and I'm having no troubles here.

Thanks in advance.

The battery life on the iPhone 4 using iOS 5 appears to be fine for most people. There have been quite a few issues with the 4S leaking battery time though.

It is unlikely that there will be a 5.0.2 as there has been two beta releases of 5.1 so expect that to come in the near future.

For now, have you tried calibrating the battery and see if it does any good to stabilizing the battery life?

Or even a fresh reset of the phone?

By the way, its likely there will be iOS 5.1 than 5.0.2 though
