Since a few months I have the feeling, that the battery life on my iPad Pro 12.9 is very bad. I mainly use Notability and it drains almost 20% in one hour. I reset the iPad yesterday, that's why the first hours in the battery stats are missing. Does that seem normal or is something wrong?

You’re also getting a call out from the OS to reduce screen brightness which of course is a major factor too.

Notability probably consumes that much, because I almost only used my iPad for Notability during that time. I will try to use another app and lower brightness to see if that drains the Battery as quickly.

I have been using notability since past 1 year, tbh its the only app I have been using.
I can say notability certainly starts to v consume more battery randomly.
Once it was the backgroubd sync which was really liking it, may be disable the constant icloud sync and other syncing services for notability.
Here is how this looks on my 8th gen basic Ipad

From reading one of the threads, notability does full indexing of any PDF you put into it.

So if you have a lot of PDFs or you added a lot of PDFs it will fully keyword index them which may consume a lot of power whilst doing so.

I think that besides the notabilit’s app there were some concerns that iPad os 15 is more demanding on battery and thus it needs to be charged more often. I think Zolotech was mentioning that in some of his videos On YT.
anyway I just bought iPad Pro 12.9 just yesterday and updated it to the latest iOS 15.3 beta 2, so I’ll check how the battery life will stand up against the latest beta realeaseand post here some screenshots
