All these battery life tests Im seeing online...that claims 11...12...hours...why don't they say what the screen brightness is set at?

I think that is the most important aspect of it and they are leaving it out of the details. It makes a huge difference if you are testing at 50% or 100% brightness.

Im trying to figure out if my battery is working like it should but it's kind of hard to find out if you don't know what the setting should be.

I got about 6 hours out of mine the first day I tested it with the brightness at about 90% and browsing the internet the whole time via WiFi.

After a full recharge, I got about 9 hours out of the second use I think but the brightness was more at 60%.

I haven't done another test yet but it doesn't seem like it drains fairly fast. Others have expressed that it seems to go on forever whereas Im having to charge it at night in fear of it running out.

Ill have to try one of these "play movies until it dies" tests and see if it stacks up or if I need to exchange it.

also keep in mind the screen changes its brightness automatically based on the ambient lighting. so whatever you have it set at will be the minimum level. if you go out in direct sunlight the screen will get brighter.

Hmm, maybe I should turn that off. Just not having it on could help as it's not utilizing that sensor.
