Has anyone been able to test the battery life of mbp's using lion? Is it the same as leopard?
 
I have 2 identically configured 15" 2010 MBP's.

One is my work laptop, the other I use specifically for testing software.

#1 runs 10.6.6
#2 runs 10.7

Side by side testing reveals about 14 to 27% longer battery life with 10.6.6

My guess is there is still a fair bit of optimisation to come yet, so these results probably won't represent the full version
 
I agree. Of much greater concern is the dumbing down of OS X as they con the Apple Faithful that's it's an advancement to merge it with iOS. Unfortunately far too many have already bought into Apples myths.
