battery life?

hi all
how should i care for my tibook battery?should or can i leave it plugged allday and night? in the morning i usually unplug it till i get home and use it cause i dont want the battery lose life even though i know batteries lose power over time.also do most people on this forum leave there pb,ib,mini's,emacs and powermacs on all the time as in all day and night? is that good for the computer?thanks.

I leave mine plugged in or shut off as much as possible to save the battery. That being said, I make sure I drain the battery as much as possible at least three or four times a month- try to make it once a week. See here for more info http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html
