Well...I have been a happy MBP owner, until today. Yesterday my battery was starting to act weird, it would always show 100% in OSX when the machine was on for like an hour. I pressed the button on the back of the battery and the LED's showed full power...but it was half dead. Anyway, today I power up the unit and notice that it says 0% and the AC adapter is plugged in and the back of the battery is flashing yellow. Now the battery won't charge. Wonderful. So I called Apple (i have applecare) and reset the acpi on the unit and still no charging. They are saying defective battery, sending me a new one.

Never had a battery die in 2 months....these battery manufacturers must be making really junky batteries today....sucks!

i also had a defective battery on my MBP. they swapped it for a new one within one day. i signed up for their battery replacement program on the apple homepage and i had my new battery in 24 hours. it was pretty sweet.
