has anyone noticed decreased battery performance when jailbreaking an iphone?

I notice when i get below 1/2 it falls quickly and when i get to a quarter its abouit done. 20% is the warning that its gonna stop working (i get the red flash and the connect to outlet on screen pretty quick after this - calls and messages are still registered when i plug it back in which is a nice feature)

are any of the apps draining my battery faster?

taskbar notifier?
rss reader - manually checks for updates?
touchpad ... not running?

I'd like to know this as well. I have a new 16g phone and battery only lasts a day...

i was concerned too with my 16gb; i wasn't able to even get through the day. I'd get to maybe 8 or 9pm and then it would die. I turned the mail auto-check from 15 minutes to never and now my battery is still at like 90% after being on all morning and afternoon. I can easily get to bedtime, and probably through part of the next day too (although I haven't tried that, I always place it on the charger at night).

Honestly, I came from a blackberry and was used to having my email ping right away. Now that I don't have that, the 15 minute delay is stupid anyway, might as well be never. And considering the drastic difference it made in battery life that's how I'm gonna leave it.

Install something like iToggle and turn off SSH when you don't need it. Its a process that continually runs in the background and does drain your battery.

Any apps you are running that automatically check for information, possib Taskbar< will drain your battery faster.

Turn your Wifi off as well when not in use. Theres an app called Boss Preferences where you can select what to turn off.

Adjust your Brightness levels as well. Turn the e=mail checking off if you can and don't allow web pages to be in mid download when you exit Safari..

I get about 3 days sometimes more on my phone now,
