Hey Everyone,

I have had my macbook pro for around 6 months, and have never had any problems whatsoever with battery (always lasting at least 4 hours for me) until that is the last two weeks, I've noticed a huge turn for the worst (getting barely an hour).

I downloaded istat pro and it reports that my battery is now sitting at 49% of its original health after 170 cycles.

Is this a situation where I could simple bring it back to the apple store and they give me a new one? or is this just normal "wear and tear" on a battery?

I'd really appreciate any advice you guys may have.

you should be able to get a new one. The warranty covers the battery for one year or 300 cycles (whichever comes first)
