So I just replaced the battery in my 2011 15" Macbook Pro because the old one was acting up from time to time and the system preferences gave the information "service battery".
I ordered one on Amazon and the swap was no problem.
But now I am trying to calibrate the battery according to the instructions on iFixit (https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Pro+15-Inch+Unibody+Early+2011+Battery+Replacement/5889) and, after I plug in the magsafe, the sleep light indicator is lighting up.
I can also hear the fans going from time to time and the bottom of the machine is so hot you could fry eggs on it.
But when I open the lid, the screen doesn't turn on and when I press the power button nothing happens either.
It's been plugged in now for half an hour and nothing yet. I am getting worried ...
Why is the sleep light indicator on?
How long does it take until my Macbook comes to life again?
