I've had the majority of those enabled since the iP4/iP5 i believe so hard to say if anything has worked - sort a been the norm. i've never got what was advertised by apple in regards to battery life but close to it on my early on with my iP5 i believe. there were a lot of battery issues with it later on which was replaced by apple and my iP6 battery was decent.

The only thing I make sure to go through and disable are some of the system services in location services. I don't use/need the following as all it does it use GPS when not needed: Frequent Locations, iPhone Analytics, Popular Near Me, WiFi Networking, Setting Time Zone, Location Based Suggestions, Location Based Apple Ads, Location Based Alerts, HomeKit and Cell Network Search.

This is the first thing I do when setting up my phone as new.

Good tips Mlrollin91 - I'll give that a go.

Yanki01 - I know what you mean, the Apple advertised times must be for anyone who never touches their phone! Would be interested to see how close people have come though.

Advertised times are in perfect testing conditions. That also includes perfect cellular reception. Low service can make a huge difference.

I have found the big drains are the various location services-related settings mentioned in these articles and background app refresh, which I have disabled in virtually all apps.

One setting that used to make a difference but I find no longer has any impact on either of my iPads or on my iPhone is wifi and bluetooth. I used to turn them off and see better battery life. Apple has gotten so good at power management that I leave those on full time and as long as background refresh and location services are tweaked correctly having wifi and bluetooth on no longer seems to make any difference.

Hiya,

I've read endless articles on battery saving in iOS10 and I just wondered whether anyone had found them really helpful.

This one has THIRTEEN methods listed: http://www.geeknaut.com/tips-to-save-iphone-battery-191916627.html but is it worth going through and acting on all of them? Is the result worth it for the time spent?

Has anyone found ONE solid way to improve their battery life?
One "solid" way would likely just be Low Power Mode.

Change any Push email services to a 15 or 30min Fetch cycle - thats a large part of what Low Power Mode does and made a big, sustained difference to me on both my 6 and now 6S. I've had the phone off-charge for 6hrs now with usual usage (for me), and its at 83% which I'm more than happy with.
