Here's yet ANOTHER battery and sleep question.
I got my MacBook about 3 months ago and I've always been perplexed by this: I charge my MacBook to 100%, leave it plugged in, and when I put it to sleep for 2+ hours and come back, the battery drops to 98-97%. Why would the battery decrease when it's plugged in?
Also, I'm traveling back to California from Hawaii on Monday and am wondering how I can maximize the battery for movies? On the flight over, I got about 2 hours 30 minutes (4 The Office episodes and half of a House episode). coconutBattery told me I had about 4 hours 30 minutes on a 100% charge and I knew this would drop by watching a movie...but not by THAT much!! Does watching HD H.264 files with VLC decrease the battery more than normal (like say an Xvid file or something)?
Thanks for any information/tips!
