Battery status is on 92% after updating to Big Sur 11.5.1

Hi

After updating to 11.5.1 the battery of my MacBook Pro M1 is constantly on 92%, even though my Mac is connected to an outlet with a power adapter. Booting in safe mode does not help.

Is there a way to solve this or do I need to downgrade to a previous version of Big Sur?

If you need to have your Mac fully charged sooner, click Charge to Full Now in the battery status menu.

If battery charging is paused or on hold on your Mac - Apple Support

How is this relevant, as the battery indicator shows remaining charge above above 80%?

Sorry I didn’t understand... So if you use it only with battery the indicator shows always 92%. Correct?

does system profiler show the same thing? and can you try CoconutBattery (third party app, really great at monitoring battery stats)

I have unchecked the optimized battery charging setting and let it drain to ~40% before charging again, which has fixed this problem. Don't know what caused it though...
