I loaded the beta up and I am still having some pretty bad battery issues on my IP4. I left it off charge last night and it was 85% and this morning it was at 24%.

I have notifications off, location, etc.

This battery issue sucks.

It was reported that Apple was making 5.0.1 available to some non-developers who had emailed about bad battery life.

Perhaps it's just a bad battery. I hope it's that simple for you. Good luck.

I've had pretty bad battery life with 5.0.1 beta 2 as well. Compared to my iPhone 4, I think it runs down almost twice as fast. I can barely get through one day (battery less than 20% at end of day). With similar usage on my iPhone 4, I'd be in the 50-60% range at the end of the day.

This build seems to have a slightly different number compared to beta 2, so fingers crossed that it fixes it.

When you guys upgraded to 5.0 (or setup a new 4S) did you do it as a new phone or restore from backup? Setting everything up again as new phone instead of restoring solved my issues, on my 4S and 3GS. The 3GS in particular was getting hammered - dying after 36 hours. In standby. With airplane mode.

Pretty sure I restored from backup. If my 4s still performs as poorly after this update (downloading now) then I'll try restoring as new phone....reluctantly!
