Im EVERYWHERE!
Hi i just got a MBP a week ago and have calibrated the battery once. With bluetooth off, airport off, sound off, brightness one and only running itunes to arrange songs and playlists im getting only 220 min of batetry time. i went from 97% to like 87% in around 20 min. when i just browse the interent i only get around 2 hours of battery life, this cant be normal can it? do widgets take up alot of battery life because maybe i should just trun them all of ( i only have the default ones on) please note that to get rid of the whine issue i removed the file IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext (backed it up of course). is there something im doing wrong to get such low battery life? help!

From memory, the sole reason your battery life is so low is because you moved the KEXT file. Unfortunately it's a compromise between whining and battery life at the moment. :(

Oh, and the widgets will be having almost no real-world affect on the battery life.

hey with the file gone i actually surprisingly got 2.5 hours of battery life with playing small games, browsing, chatting, installing small applications. iv just now put that file back and honestly any seeing a big battery life change.
