Ok maybe im just paranoid and impatient but:

I pretty much used my battery down to the end. I was trying to install a game and when the itune log in came up i hit cancle and when you do this the game should automaticly stop intalling but what happend was it was like frozen saying loading for a while and i just restarted the iphone.

With very very little battery life after restarting i plugged it into the charger about 30 min ago and the battery just has like 1 bar of red on the battery picture. Shouldnt it have gone up a little, enough for me to turn the phone on by now? because it isnt letting me. Its like its stuck???

This is my first iphone and one question i had is, when plugged into the charger will it show anything else indicating its being charged besides the lightning bult?

When you put your iphone on the dock that is connected to pc/mac or to the wall it will make a sound (unless it's set on silent) and will vibrate telling you that it's charging. If cleaning the dock connector won't work for you, I presume you need to restore your firmware - although google about it before you restore.

IiPhone will not charge- same problem

I had the very same problem with my husband's iPhone. I did not know what to do as i jailbreaked the phone and voided the warranty.
I found this guy NYCipoddoctor and sent my phone into him. It ended up that it was the circuit board. He replaced it and now my husband is back to the land of being a very happy iphone user.

I was also experiencing an error when I tried to charge it using my PC
error"usb exceed power"
