I didn't know this was possible. Does this work: URL Removed Becuase I think it may be the FULL version of BF2. (if you want to know what I was talking about check the insanley mac forums, there is a thread on there with just the CIDER files so you can plug in your legit copy of bf2.

Basically the guy made it so you can run BF2 in OS X with no problems. I have a legit copy of BF2 so I guess you'd have to mod that since he said he cracked it but still, if this is possible I'm excited!

(Edit) Looks like it does in fact work.

yes....but...

yes, it is possible to do what you are asking using a program called Cider to create a package of the windows program which is able to be run under OS X on an Intel mac. The extent to which games are compatible, and their performance varies greatly. That being said, my understanding of Cider and packaging games (even if you already own them) is that it isn't really legal, ive seen lengthily debates before on this very issue, so MacRumors is probably not the best place to discuss that  . Regardless, posting links to a Torrent site is most definitely not allowed on this site, and i have no doubt this thread will be promptly locked down or deleted.

Cheers! :)

Now. That was a bold move.

Also, last time I checked, Cider is pretty s*itty. Just putting it bluntly. However, EA games "for Macs" is Cider-like-based so if the game developers put a little extra work to optimize for it then it might run pretty decently, but otherwise, pretty bad performance.

Why was it bold? I'm sure for BF2 it will run fine since BF2 doesnt seem to be really resource heavy. (High graphics and low graphics seem to look the same.

I ciderized my copy of Star Wars Battlefront II and it works fine....except the controls are all wonky. But it's not that hard to do if you know what you're doing.
