Battlefield 2 via VMWare Fusion

I have managed to use VMWare Fusion to play EVE Online and it works really well. I would like to play Battlefield 2 through the same means but when I launch the game in Steam, the screen goes black and quits to the desktop.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem, or does BF2 just not work with Fusion? I'm running XP SP3 by the way.

I assume you're talking about Bad Company 2 in which case not a hope in hell, it's demanding enough whilst running it natively so virtualization has no chance, Bootcamp time I'm afraid.

I was meaning Battlefield 2, not Bad Company 2. It's an older game so that's why I'm keen to try it.
