I bought Battlefield 2142 online for windows through the EA downloader. I recently switched to Mac. Is it possible to find a mac version online to download? Also, do mac players play with windows players?

Currently, there is no Mac version of BF2142 available for Mac, regardless of if you already have the Windows version or not. That said, you are not entitled to a DVD copy either, as they are really two different games, with different development processes required. To the user, it's the same game, but the Cider environment used with this game required certain modifications made to the underlying code, therefore allowing EA to reason for a higher price for the Mac version.
As for your second question, yes, users of the Mac version can play with users of the Windows version just fine. I've been playing the game since September, and I haven't experienced any major issues that are unique to the Mac version.
