BBC iplayer not working

A friend of mine is having trouble watching the BBC iplayer on his 3G JB 3.0 iPhone, just tried it on my handset 3G JB 3.0 and it works fine on mine. Just wondered if any of you know why he might be having trouble?

Would be good of we had more info about his handset - I had a software conflict on my phone a mobile substrate plugin called safari downloader. I removed it and iplayer worked fine.

o2 block iplayer on their servers, so you can't access it through 3g or gprs, you have to be connected to wifi in order for it to work....
