iPod BBC Radio One DJ leaving for Apple

It's been announced tonight in the UK that Zane Lowe is leaving Radio One and moving to the U.S. to work for Apple.

Lowe is described as an Ambassador for new music. Wonder what this is related to - iTunes Radio, Beats Radio or some music-spotting role?
