I would say about 95% of the time that I right click a file, and choose Open With, I get a beach ball for a few seconds, then the options show. I rarely had this issue before with Lion. Im thinking that maybe it has something to do with the three external HDs I have connected, but Im not sure. I had a Corsair SSD in my iMac before, and had this problem, and I have been having the same problem after I clean installed ML on a new Samsung 830 SSD. Any thoughts?

See if you can reset that. Try these steps:

1. Open the application /Applications/Utilities/Terminal

2. Put in the code (no sudo required):
Code:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

3. Let that run (it will run longer if you have many drives connected) until you get another terminal prompt. This then will reset the OS X "open with" function.

So far so good Satcomer, thanks for that!
