Bear APP How is it useful ?

Just came across this note taking APP called Bear later did I learnt that it was also the best voted APP for 2016 by Apple. I am just trying to understand here what does it have different or special that the native notes APP in the iPad or iPhone does not have ? Can anyone outline bring out how is the APP Bear useful over the Notes APP ? What does it do special that the iOS APP Notes does not or cannot do ?

Bear notes has some additional formatting features over the stock notes app. It's just a nicer-looking notes app overall. However, I was plagued with sync issues, where notes created on my Mac just flat out refused to sync over to my iOS devices. I am not sure if the issue has been fixed, but I have gone back to the stock notes app. My subscription is still good till the end of the year, so I might go back and give it another whirl. Say what you want about how limited the notes app is, it's at least reliable.

You might want to read this review about Bear. It supposedly offers other benefits such as markdown support, which I don't use. So for me, it's really just a nicer-looking notes app.

Yes. Bear has iOS and Mac apps, you need to be subscribed to their service to enable the syncing service.

Supposedly a way of text formatting. I really have no idea. Heard the term being tossed around, but never got around to figuring out what it did.
