Interesting that the disagreement is between EMI and The Beatles, and not with Apple.

I can imagine people are waiting until iTunes releases the songs. Other people will discover the songs while browsing the store and learn to enjoy them. I knew most of the songs from my childhood and finally bought everything when the albums were released on CD for the first time somewhere in the eighties. I still have those CD's and enjoy the songs which are now on my powerbook/iPod from time to time.

Not necessarily, it was only about a month ago that I bought the last Beatles CD I need to own all of their officially released material, it didn't even cross my mind to wait for them to be on iTunes (of course I could just be part of a minority )
I'd imagine they won't be on the store until at least the remastered albums are released, although that may be some time considering they were first announced a couple years back when Aspinall was still in charge of Apple Corps.
