Beats cutting in and out

I have Powerbeats 3 and when i use them with my iMac the sound cuts in and out, i have tried reset/forget this device restarted the iMac the keyboard and mouse work fine and the Beats work good with all my iPods and iPhone,i have read posts about trashing the plist but i have never done anything like that and if i trash the plist will the bluetooth still work to use the mouse and keyboard when i restart.

This happens with my AirPods on my iMac. They work flawlessly with my iPad and iPhone.
