I've had the Beats Fit Pros for a few days now, love them! No connection issues at all with my phone or watch, until today. I normally go for an hour or so walk/hike early in the morning, before starting work. The last few days, it's been relatively warm here, say 55-65F (12 - 18C). This morning, it was colder, like I think it was around 45F (7C) or slightly lower. Almost from the start, my audio was breaking up, randomly every 5-10 seconds...Like micro drop outs. Sort of like when you just get to edge of wireless range, and your audio will randomly break up. In my case, it was just little drop outs, almost constantly. At first I thought it might be interference or something, but as mentioned, I've walked this route before with the BFP with no issues until today. It was pretty constant, throughout my walk, but did calm down somewhat towards the last 15-20 minutes of my walk...As mentioned, no connection issues, until today when it was colder out.

This was using the Beats Fits and my Apple Watch...Anyone run into this?

I ran when it was mid-50s to low-60s today. This week is moderately warmer than last week and we are getting freezing temperatures at night. I have not run in cold temperatures but I do wear a cap when it's cool to cold and windy and the cap can cause problems with headsets. Were you wearing a cap or hat while running?

I don't have an Apple Watch and I assume that the devices talk to each other to control things so that's one factor that I don't have.

Nada, just a baseball cap but nothing covering my ears. It was really strange...Tomorrow, I'll try again, and this time, I'm going to bring my Airpod Pros along as well. If the Beats Fit start acting up again, I'll switch over to the APPs to see if they have the same issues. Oddly, I've been sitting at my desk working, and getting up from time to time. No connection issues with either my phone or watch connected to them...

I'll give it a try tomorrow morning. It's that temperature around 9:00 AM and I'll just go run a half-mile, without cap, to try it out.

Also, what generation iPhone do you have?

32 degrees, half-mile run

Nike Featherlight cap
New Balance Running Pants with iPhone 13 mini in left hip zip pocket
Song: Hikaru Nakamura Theme Song

No dropouts, static or any other problems. My ears were frozen though. I usually wear a cap that covers the upper-half of the ear at these temperatures.

12 Pro Max, but this was happening when I was just using my Apple Watch 5...Could be the watch, or maybe it was a one off event...

It could definitely be the watch.

I have a Garmin Fenix 5+ and it supports music but I get dropouts sometimes so I use my iPhone for music. I think that Bluetooth power from watches is just much lower than it is from phones. I also think that direct line-of-sight of the device matters. Bluetooth signals have a harder time going through your body than through the air and that may be a factor in the watch connecting with the earbuds. I have read that some earbuds are better with working with watches than others.

If I wanted to use my watch for music, I would use the Jaybirds and put the transceiver on the same side of my body as the watch. You might ask this question in the Apple Watch forum as people there may be more likely to be able to answer this question.

Ouch! 32 degrees is too cold for me not to wear a beanie if exercising outdoors. Especially running. Sweat + cold = unpleasant results for me. I can’t imagine a hat would really interfere With Bluetooth.

It was only a half-mile.

I'd normally go with a cap or beanie. I have a couple of balaclavas for colder temperatures.
