So I just got my Beats Fit Pro today. And I have worn them a lot since I got them. I love the way they sound. I love the way they fit in my ears. But they have been dropping the connection to my iPhone very frequently. Like I have gotten probably six connection drops so far today in the 3-4 hours that I have had them in my possession.

Example: I'll be listening to music at my desk, with my phone within hands reach, and I open up my laptop and bam the music stops playing in my ears and I hear the disconnection chime in my ears from the Beats Fit Pro. Then I look in Bluetooth settings in my iPhone and the Beats Fit Pro are no longer listed in my Bluetooth devices list. I put them in the case, close and open the lid, and then I quickly get the square white connection box showing up on my iPhone and I have to click the connect button again to reconnect them. Then they work fine until this happens the next time.

I have a lot of apple wireless headphones: AirPods Gen 1, Power Beats Pro, Beat's Studio3, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max. None of them have any connection drops for me.

But the Beats Fit Pro are having lots of connection drops in the first few hours. I even reset them to factory settings, but I am still getting the connection drops.

Is anyone else having the same problem issue? Any advice? Thanks!

I have BFP today. Used about 6 hours with iPhone and iPad. No drop issues. Try resetting iPhone? Turn bluetooth on/off?

I like BFP better than APP which I will sell or give to family member.

No issues here, used across TV, iPhone, iPad Pro and MacBook Air. There is a firmware update available (4B58) but most of my testing was done on the original firmware.

How do you update the firmware on these?
Looks like I have the old firmware. There is no way to force a firmware update. Supposedly pairing the headphones to your phone and then put them in the case and leave them next to your phone should cause the firmware to update.

I just called Apple and did a return with replacement. Then I dropped the Beats Fit Pro off at FedEx.

I tried to order a new pair and do a straight return, but the Apple App said delivery would be between late November and December 1. So I decided to instead do a return with replacement.

Bummed to hear you got a bum unit!

I will say that the ones I got haven't skipped a "beat", and that includes usage with an iPhone SE1, iPad mini 5 and even my Hackintosh desktop. None of those even running the latest OS releases (Hack is on Monterrey actually...)

I'm having the same issue but with my AirPods 3rd gen... It's a weird thing because it happens across all my devices. It'll just randomly disconnect and completely remove it from my bluetooth list across both my iPhone and iPad.

This is happening to me too. They work fine for a few minutes and then completely disconnect from Bluetooth on my iPhone. I have to put them back into the case, reconnect via on screen prompt, etc. then it happens again a few minutes later.

I have also noticed them disappearing from the Bluetooth menu on my iPhone when I’m not even using them.

Called apple support and they want me to take them in and get them replaced.

Small update. So after re-connecting what feels like a hundred times and also doing a “forget device” from the Bluetooth menu, I haven’t had any disconnect issues for a few hours. Not sure what’s going on…

Ugh, Apple received my return replacement, and then they sent me to the back of the line for getting a new pair. I got an email today that my replacement headphones would ship in 2-3 weeks. At least I know that I will get a new pair. I don't need them right away or anything.

This happened to my this morning. It appears that Apple devices like to grab the connection when they think that you're using a different device. I was listening to music, put them in the case, took them out of the case and my Mac mini connected to them and started playing a podcast that I had paused on the mini. My iPhone 7+ (backup phone) will bring them up if I bring the BFP too close to the phone. This is a feature of these devices but maybe there's a way to turn it off. I really only use headsets with my current iPhone so I don't need connections with all of my other devices.

So maybe it was a software issue IDK. I ordered a new pair of Beats Fit Pro's from Amazon, and they arrived today. I paired them with my iPhone and I was getting the same issue with losing connection to the iPhone quickly.

Then I did a hard reset of the headphones, and I paired them first to my M1 MBP. After that they never have had a connection drop. I connected them to my iPhone and they didn't drop the connection. I have no idea why it worked, but so far it is working.

I also cancelled my return replacement order from Apple since they said it wouldn't ship for another few weeks.

Glad you got it resolve. Maybe it got a firmware update from the connection to the Mac?

No it didn’t get the firmware update from the mac. I checked that it had the same firmware number.

I forced the firmware update on my iPhone a few hours later, but it hadn’t updated before that and was doing fine the whole time.

I am having the exact same issue you had and experiencing similar resolution. To recap:

I bought my Beats Fit Pro from Amazon day they released. Had my AirPods Pro paired with my iPhone 13. Also have a MacBook Pro, iPad mini, and Apple Watch logged in with iCloud. AirPods Pro have been fine for as long as I can remember switching between these devices. Never once had to reset or re-pair them.

I paired the new Beats Fit Pro with my iPhone day I got them. Noticed the next day they had booted my AirPods Pro from the list of Bluetooth devices completely. Also experienced frequent disconnects.

Tried a ton of resets on all devices. Held the buttons on both pairs of headphones. Would keep either dropping connections or deleting one or both headphones from the list with no rhyme or reason.

Deleted them from my account and paired both with my Mac first. Now no drops or deletes in about 12 hours. But I don't trust it.

Any advice? Reached out to Apple and they don't understand any of this. AirPods are now running 4A402 and Beats Fit Pro are running 4B58.

I got mine, and they paired with my iPhone 13 and worked fine. One time my Mac mini grabbed them and another time my MacBook Pro grabbed them but I'd have to say that they just worked as expected - actually better than expected. Two people seeing it on MR probably means that a lot of others are seeing it too.

Not sure, but I have never had another drop since I did the same thing in about a week.

I'm having the exact same issue. My work set up contains my Iphone, a macbook pro and a macbook air. I'll be on a phone call with the BFP and it'll disconnect every 5 seconds and connect to one of the laptops that has no audio at all. The only way to stay connected is to turn off the bluetooth on one of the laptops which then defeats the purposes of the H1 chip

Just got my Beats Fit Pro; they finally arrived in Amsterdam! ?I'm having issues with losing connection for 1 second and reconnecting again for a second. Continuously so it's like a flickering of sound; very annoying. I forced switched from my MBP M1 to my Iphone 12mini and the issues seems to have been resolved. So I switch back to my MBP only to be disappointed again…..

Will check in with the AppleStore tomorrow...
