So I owned a pair of Beats Flex since they came out in 2020, was happy with them, but battery life deteriorated during the last months until they completely died last week. Would have loved them to last longer, but considering the price and that I used them *a lot*, I can live with that. So much so that I ordered a new pair (I checked the market and much as it hurts to buy them again in 2023 with still only ye old W1 chip, and for a bit more than I paid in 2020 ... I still settled on these, as I do prefer the neckband style, and other reasons.)

So the new pair (bought at Amazon Germany) arrived and the battery was completely drained. Has anyone here lately bought Beats Flex, and how was your battery stat?
It is probably not a big deal, but it kinda sucks to buy a pair of headphones that have presumably been sitting with a completely drained battery for quite a while. (Package was sealed, they look indeed new and they work fine otherwise. I'll test the battery life as soon as I got them charged to 100 percent.)

And yeah, first results are in and they look good. They reliably give a bit more than a hour per 10 percent battery life. And when turned off completely they do not seem to lose (much) of a charge.

What's weird is though that in my iPhone bluetooth settings it states a limited Apple warranty "until december 17th 2023", which is less than a year from my purchase/activation date (which was yesterday). Is this possibly a sign of a returned/refurbished etc. item?

The warranty began when they were sold to someone on Dec 18th 2022.
Yeah.... seems like it. Though the packaging (sealed), optics of the item etc. etc. are top notch. I might contact Apple and have the warranty pushed, it seems a waste to return them, also considering that any replacement I get might be 'old stock', too.
I checked the battery life some more and they do deliver give or take 12 hours, which is fine.

If anything you could complain to amazon for selling you a "new" product that wasn't actually new....in fact you are the second owner.

Thsts my issue with Amazon. Even refurbished excellent has big floss like metal rim damage on the iPhone mini I bought. I saw complain and het something back like a small credit if possible.
