I have Beats Solo pro. When I connect after not using for a few days, like today, beats connected and said 61% on the widget. I’m using on an iPhone 12 iOS 14.4.

After listening for a few mins they show 41% which is what I remember they were at when I finished playing last time.

Is this normal? As in it may report higher battery when first connected? I’ve noticed this consistently.

Is there a way to test the battery? I know iPhone has battery health but don’t think Beats do. Anything else I can try?

Is there a better battery app to show or something like coconut battery to see (I have a Mac if so).

Also does anyone know what the exact battery is inside the Solo pro? I changed out my old beats solo 2 wireless and was pretty easy. I can’t find the exact battery spec for the solo pro or procedure though. Be handy for the future.

Thanks

figuring out battery percentage is a lot more complicated than it seems, they can't just put a float on a stick like you can with a gasoline tank.

They have to monitor the the power coming out of the battery, and make guesses on how full the battery is. This is all calibrated and figured out long before the battery makes it into consumers hands.
When batteries haven't been used for a bit they sometimes build up a little bit of pressure, but there's not much backing that up, so it quickly goes away.

there's more explanation here
