Apple taking my Beats X back for warranty. Want something that works flawlessly with the Apple Watch and iPhone. Turn on and the screen to connect just pops up. Love that. Pairing all the time is one of the worst things IMO about some BT accessories.

So where can I go from here. I have no faith in the Beats X now, and will sell the repaired warranty ones when I get them back.

Is there anything that can handle a workout and works well with Apple? Sweat resistance would be a real bonus.

As for these Beats X, no clue why the controller stopped working. Can't even be reset. Had three uses then died. I actually think a bead of sweat must have hit them during my last workout, which to be honest, not exactly intense, but my forehead does get a few beads of sweat in yoga so.. possible? Can't think of anything else and either can Apple it seems.
[doublepost=1508863317][/doublepost]Mini update: testing AirPods at the moment. Sound actually seems passable, suppose you'd get used to it. I see people saying they're surprisingly robust too. Survived falls, sweat, washing machines even!

Anyone had their AirPods bricked from sweat?

If you can be without the W1 chip, I love my Bose SoundSport. Not truly wireless like the AirPods, but they sound great for my taste, the battery has some pretty good life, and they've lasted about a year without any incident for my trips to the gym.

Thanks guys, considered all of those and nearly went for the Bose as it’s widely available in the UK.. then I spotted some Sony’s in Amazon Warehouse as low as £23. Way too tempting at that price..

Took a punt and tried them on some indoor spin sessions this weekend and so far the sound is much better than AirPods and BeatsX. I do like the extra bass too.

The Sonys wouldn’t suit any sport where you turn your head side to side a lot, the cable sort of sticks to one side of your head. Not an issue for me on the indoor trainer but maybe annoying if running through a city and you’re looking about. Could hack it with a cable clip at the back of your head though for cheap. Build quality really not as good as either of those two I mentioned a sec ago, but huge price difference. If these break I’ll have a pop at Bose next.
