Hi there.

I've edited this post as I was calling my wireless earbud Beats Flex - but when I looked on the box they came in - they are called BeatsX

I've owned my BeatsX for over 4 years and the battery has pretty much served its purpose and is not holding a charge very well anymore.

Looking to upgrade and trying to decide if it's worth the extra $'s to go to something like Jabra Active 75T or Beats Fit Pro - or just get a new set of BeatsX...

Before I got the BeatsX - I used Jaybirds for many years - but found they didn't stay in my ear very well...

I use them for exercising and will at times be on my indoor bike for over 6 hours...

Has anyone compared the BeatsX with the Jabra Active 75T or Beats Fit Pro - in terms of audio quality?

Having used the BeatsX for so long - I really don't know if I'm missing much, or I can really improve the audio quality with one of the above listed choices...

Thanks

I had the BeatsX and now I have the BFP (having got there via PBP). So not a back to back comparison, but the PBP were better (audio wise) than the BeatsX and the BFP are better than the PBP. I'd put the BFP at 9/10, BFP 7/10 and the BeatsX at 5/10. The BFP are better than the APP too (8/10).

Add to that you get Active Noise Cancelling with the BFP, Spatial Audio and head tracking too. The only down side is that the battery does not last as long on the BFP v BeatsX but you do get a charging case with them where as the BeatsX you have to use a charging cable (and have a power outlet available).

Are these features worth the additional cost? Well.. only you can decide that. For me - yes. The difference is huge between the two seats of headphones.

BTW - I had so many problems with my BeatsX (replaced 3 times) that I vowed never to touch Beats again... and then went and got the PBP which changed my mind!

Thanks for the review - some excellent points!

Fortunately, my BeatsX have worked very well - so no complaints on that front...

Did you happen to notice the absence of the neck band when you went to the BFP? I wonder if that is worth anything in my decision-making process...

I did also look at the PBP - but worry that when outside wearing sunglasses - the ear hook thingy might get in the way... any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

You do notice the lack of neck band, it's like you wonder how something so small can sound better but they do.

I loved my PBP - I really did, they were so secure. But the BFP are just as secure for me but with no hook it's just better with things like hats (I wear a running hat) and helmets etc Plus, they (BFP) have more features.
