BeatsX + AW for calls

The BeatsX are $100 at BB so I'm wondering if you can directly pick up calls from the watch? The AW pops a dedicated call pick up button that routes the calls to AirPods. Are BeatsX the same way?

I would assume so, since they're both Bluetooth

I own BeatsX and an AW and I'm not able to make a call via the AW and have it on the earphones.
I can of course answer to a call via the button on the BeatsX, but if I do it on the AW it uses the speaker.
As far as I know AirPods behave differently, but BeatsX have the W1 chip so I'd expect to have a similar behaviour with a future watchOS update.

Thank you! I had the AirPods and LOVED how there would be a dedicated button to pick up the call. I want to be able to use FaceTime audio or wifi calling while I'm in the hospital.
