Based on my experience of using Yosemite. It has been a really good OS. I like the tonne of new features that it has. All of them works great. I use spotlight 90% of the time on my MacBook Pro. As i said before, I love every feature of Yosemite and i still kinda miss Mavericks (OS X 10.9) but i am satisfied with what Apple has done with Yosemite and I can't wait for the new OS X 10.11 to be finally released on WWDC in less than 6 days.

That's a slightly biased poll. Are we are forced to like Yosemite? I would like a "No, it's not very good at all and Apple need to pull their finger out for the next version of OS X" option.

And yes, I miss Mavericks as well. It just works whereas Yosemite works, just.

Yosemite has been great to me. A lot of added functionality. It bothered me prior when the icons on iOS weren't similar to yosemite. I still think they need to change all of the OS X icons to match iOS. I don't like the differentiation and I don't understand why the icons don't match iOS.

I hope they don't make Mac apps into rounded squares or make them very similar. This would remove at-a-glance differentiation between Mac apps and iOS apps.

I'm saying for instance they have safari the same on iOS and OS X. Mail, contacts, calender, settings, itunes, etc are different. I'm not saying they change them into rounded squares i'm saying they match the icons so they would all be the same and it would be continuous across all devices.

Well, as I've stated in other threads, I like Yosemite. But that could be because I like the more unified interface design and I do enjoy a lot of the functionality of the OS. I know Yosemite is very polarizing. It seems users either love it or hate it. Well, it's an Apple design, so that is to be expected. But the major change in the look of the user interface seems to have divided Mac fanatics. Don't get me wrong, I loved Mavericks, but I like the direction Apple is going with Yosemite a bit better. Mind you, I'm 40 years old and I am not a fan of change! But this one I like. I am hoping 10.11 will be better and functionally make the OS better. I also hope some of the interface design "quirks" get hammered out and polished to a fine point. I would love to see "dark mode" broadened too. I love dark mode.

I can't say I will have fond memories of using Yosemite because I only booted into Yosemite partition to play Tomb Raider, but it is a nice system. While the aesthetics/design is not really my style, but it certainly has its own charm. It indeed added a lot to simplistic but substantial tone to the appearance. Thankfully, my experience with Yosemite has been bug-free (the only other app I used frequently was Safari though...). And the OS was pretty fast and stable on my late-2012 iMac. I expected the fans to spin above idle (1400rpm), but never happened. And I was surprised that my 3-year old hardware was able to run all the new features (hand off, SMS, etc)

Looking forward to what 10.11 brings. I guess this will be the system that shows my iMac's age...

Hopefully 10.11 will pleasantly surprise you and work wonderfully on your 2012 iMac. I am still running my upgraded and updated 2009 4,1->5,1 Mac Pro with an upgraded processor, GTX970 and 32GB RAM. Runs Yosemite perfectly.

I suspect it has something to do with "multiple votes are allowed"..... Possibly it's totalling percentages based on # of respondents, not number of votes?
Yep. With "multiple votes allowed" selected it's indicating that everyone selected "very nice", and a third of them also selected "not bad".

I really like the UI, but it's plenty of bugs, hope they fix the performance issues with the upcoming release
