I just wish meta contacts would actually work for users on exchange servers. Meta chats is pointless otherwise.

Meta contacts allow you to set up a single user profile (say, 'Dad') with multiple screen names from multiple protocols, so you will have one entry for a person even if they have four screen names on four different protocols.

I would assume that a meta chat would, similarly, provide a single conversation for an individual, regardless of what service you are using to talk to them. So you could start a conversation in AIM and continue it in Google Talk but it would work as a single sustained chat.

Nope. All contacts lose their meta contact settings after the iPhones syncs the contacts. Sometimes it will work for a little while but eventually, the metacontacts are lost. The setting doesn't seem to have any affect.
 
If beejive would add @mentions and DMS for twitter and skype i really could have beejive as my only IM app for my iPhone right now i have im+ for that and skype

I have a few that have not been addressed at ALL.

1) Metacontacts with Facebook and mobile.me sync: if you restore and sync back from mobile me, the facebook field for metacontacts is lost. That is because Beejive uses non-standard IM fields. For IM type in vcf files, we have the options for "MSN Messenger" "AOL Messenger" and "Yahoo messenger" I think. Since Facebook is not a valid IM type, when the contact is sync FROM mobile me to the iphone, the IM type is deleted, thus beejive won't recognise it.

2) Hebrew: for some reason, using FacebooK IM, user's whose names contain hebrew letters, they won't appear AT ALL on your beejive contact list.
 
I haven't had the need for metachats, all my contacts favor using just one service. Group chats will be an awesome feature though.

I have this issue on Yahoo where if I delete buddies off the buddy list they will reappear periodically, it's more of an annoyance than anything. I'm unable to delete them, and even if I block them, they become unblocked somehow. It only happens in the BeeJive app, not on Yahoo (official), or on my cpu, or in IM+ (which I do not use anymore).

There are times where I do not get Push Notifications at all from the app. My phone is not jailbroken or hacked and has never been.

There have been lots of disconnects and reconnect issues, though, not as much as before.

I've troubleshooted by deleting, re-adding accounts; uninstalling, re-installing the program... still nothing.

Inability to set a Yahoo buddy icon, which I wish would be a feature since you can do this with all other IM services.

I've used this program since it was released and really never complained because it was the best IM program in the app store (and still is). I just wish they would address some issues or at least respond to my support emails or approve my help post on their forum.
 
they only bug that annoys me is when i go offline under beejive and im chatting on my computer, but im still receiving push on my beejive app. i open up beejive to check to see if im offline, it shows that im offline and doesnt display any messages. but in order for me to clear the push, i have to sign on in beejive, let the chats load then manually clear them and sign off again.

am i the only one thats experiencing push notification when im offline?


BTW: is this going to be a free update?
 
^ If I remember correctly, Beejive has free updates for a lifetime. Or so they said in the beginning.

Another issue I've had is the favorites has never worked (they always disappear when I exit the program or restart my phone), since the first iteration of Beejive... not that I use it anyway - I wish they'd remove it or allow us to customize the bottom bar.
 
I believe this is the best build yet... I haven't had any of the issues I was having previously. Also like the new start up screen. :)
 
This update was not what I was looking for

I guess I was looking for Chat rooms, does anybody know if something like this would be release? Palringo does this..so why doesn't beejive?

Maybe, but I can't get it to work with Facebook. Keep getting Error popups. (and judging from the Beejive website, I'm not the only)

The Beejive team twitted today saying that Facebook updated their servers
and there are conflicts right now but they are working on a fix :)
