I bought it a while back for 15.99 but it's currently on sale until 3/31 for 9.99. Its amazing and will be even more amazing when iPhone 3.0 comes out! (For Push Notifications); Get it now people!

Why spend 9 bucks when Palringo and Fring do the same for FREE ?

Because its better than both of those and more stable than Palringo?

Plus the fact that you don't have to sign up, and be able to be on for 24 hours.

Anyways, I got Beejive for 10$ back when they had the same sale for a week and I definitely recommend it. I love the UI.

Doing the same and doing the same to perfection are very different things. Palringo and Fring do not even support landscape keyboard and that is one of the smallest differences...

What about IM+ vs. BeeJive?

IM+ supports Facebook chat also...and other things.

I just saw today that IM+ does Facebook IM too as long as you buy the $10 version.

That said, I much prefer Beejive.

Beejive offers landscape... push notification... sending of audio/pic files... emailing of messages in session... facebook chat... stability... just about everything you could want from an IM client. IM+ is useless. AIM used to be good but now everytime you have to send a message it reconnects and sends using battery life and slowing down response time. Fringe is good but does not support many features. Fring is very good for skype calling and/or gtalk calling.

I feel nimbuzz is the only one that gets close to beejive. Its fast and stable and free :)

I use all, lol don't ask...

I guess I'm just not hardcore enough for an app this expensive; I just went back and forth on a $3 app!

That said, I'll pass for now; who's to say there won't be a paid update for 3.0?

I have IM+ and have always wondered why people use BeeJive over it. Can I have some opinions on what you think makes one better than the other? I haven't found any problems with IM+ personally.

We have a dedicated, long, undying discussion thread about Beejive found below...

I have Beejive and I think it's great.
I'm trying to figure out how to receive notifications if the app is closed, and how do I get the cool cell phone pic next to my name in other people's buddy list?
I checked their site and changed the network and push settings to ON. Maybe that'll do it...
Is this going to kill my battery?

That depends which IM you have, you can edit that on your own IM settings before running Beejive.

The push settings will let you receive notifications, make sure the email address you've used has Push enabled too. It won't kill your battery that much, mine runs all day..

Of course I know that (my own app doesn't work in 3.0, lol). I was answering the question of the person that asked how well it worked in 3.0. They wanted to know, so I told them my experience. I don't get why you needed such a negative reply.

Todays the last day!!

One more thing about the notifications, in my opinion the fastest/best way to do it is to have them text you. Example, I can assume a large % of the users here are on AT&T, so in the email for the push don't put your email but put your 10 digit phone number along with the att text email (txt.att.net); it would look like this:

123456789@txt.att.net

Most other companies also have some kind of text email like this one, I just don't know them :p

It would instantly text you when if you have the program closed.
Warning- If you don't have Unlimitted SMS then I don't think this would be good to use unless you don't IM that much.

I ended up buying BeeJive, so now I have that and IM+.
Don't know which I like more, but at the moment I see nothing that makes one better than the other.
