Here at the Canton fair in China. I have been using the iPad a little instead of lugging around my awesome toshiba laptop that my work gave to me. It has been great for emailing and also for looking up products on the Internet to show pics of at the booths. I haven't had any trouble getting the wireless to work here.

The Canton fair is larger than anything you can imagine. There are people from all over the world here. When I take the iPad out and use it I have found that there is at least one word that is universal through the languages....and that word is "iPad". It gets a lot of looks at comments. Everyone seems to know what it is....despite it being in the apple case people still recognize it quickly.

The group that has been taking me around at the fair is out of shanghai and they want me to send them a couple when I get home. Needless to say they are sold on them. I keep trying to teach them a new word in English....."magical". (that was a joke)

Very cool! Thanks for sharing your experience. I wonder if they have a sense of pride since they actually make the iPad there? Where is the factory located - do they give tours?
