Hi all,

I just picked up a new iPad Air (5th gen, no creaking, lol) the other day after not having an iPad for quite a few years and am really enjoying it thus far.

One quick question though since I've not had one for quite awhile. The simple gesture to get back to the home screen I recall being as easy as dragging up from the black border of the display until it drops you back on the home screen. No brain power required.

Now, it feels like I have to grab the bar, then drag up. It's a bit more precise than it use to require. Is that normal? It's not a big deal, I just have to get used to dragging from the bar upward versus not really caring and tossing my finger to the border of the display then dragging upwards.

Thanks!

If you have Screenshot and Quick Note from corner swipe disabled, then you can still drag anywhere along the bottom edge to go home. It doesn’t have to be on the bar itself.

Also in certain apps, such as games, drawing apps or full-screen video apps (for example), you're required to do a second swipe up from the bar to be able to go back home. I assume this is to prevent you from accidentally going home in swipe-intensive apps and games.
