Beeping sound in late 2009 Mac Mini

This is my first post here but longtime lurker. I have a late 2009 mac mini and today I bought a 128GB SSD and 8GB ram. I installed both of them but I'm hearing a beeping sound at startup. I put the old ram again and it was working fine so I'm thinking maybe I bought a bad ram? What do you guys think?

Yup, seems the RAM is NOT OK.

Thanks, I'll just return this ram and get a new ram.

So I got another pair of ram from Fry's and it's now working fine in my mac mini. thanks

Good it's solved.
Probably just bad RAM, did you get a different brand now?

Yeah I got the Patriot 8GB this time, the bad ram was a corsair.
