As promised, here are a couple of before and after pictures of my setup. The one on the left is obviously my old PC that I bought in 1999. Actually the white tower is that computer, and the second one is a Dell Dimension 8100 from 2002, I think, that my stepdad gave me. It's not much better. Everything else, speakers, desk, etc., is from the 20th century though. And it shows. 
Fast forward 11 years and WOW! What a difference a decade makes. If you have read my other thread about the dead pixels you will see my experience has not been without it's issues, but overall I am very pleased with my new setup. (or will be when I get a flawless iMac).
