Okay this should be very easy but I cannot figure it out. I have pictures of CD covers but they are surrounded by a big white border. I want to get rid of this white border and make the CD cover image the entire image. So I go into Photoshop to do this but I cannot figure out the easiest way to reduce the canvas size to exactly what the image size is. I know I can copy the image and create a new image from clipboard size but that seems like too much work when I should be able to just reduce the canvas size of the original. I know I can do Image>Canvas Size adjustments but that is too much guess/check work. Isn't there a way to just use the selection / pointer tool to drag the canvas size smaller? It won't let me do that because my layer is locked. How do I unlock it? Sorry guys I know this is probably the stupidest most basic thing but I just can't get it.

No need to use Photoshop. Open the images in Preview. Select the acutal cover and press CMD + K
