will the 2g sonic wave case for the 2g touch commonly sold at bestbuy and stuff fit the 1st gen properly? if someone does have it on a first gen, please post pics possibly. also, if i get my 1g touch with the january update, will 2.1 be free?

No, you won't get 2.1 or even 2.0. The 1st gen touch will come with 1.1.5 at the latest; 2.0 is exclusively preinstalled on only the iPhone 3G and 2nd gen touch.

how about the question about the case? will it fit? if not, i can always look for a dif. case but that case looks sweet.
