It looks like Belkin has a back cover for the iPad mini now. I really liked the Snap Shield on my previous iPads, so I may have to give this a try. It appears to be a nice matte finish versus a glossy one.

I had the Belkin Snap Shield on my iPad 3 but found it too fragile. It started snapping on the corners. Swapped it for the Goji variant in PC World. May look at this for my mini tho, thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, my first one cracked a little around the edge, but Belkin had no problem sending me another one. They even let me switch colors. These also have a 1 year warranty too, so it gives me a little peace of mind. I think I'll try this one over the 5-10 dollar ones on Amazon.

I have SwitchEasy's CoverBuddy, but it scratches really easy since it's the glossy version. If they had the black version in matte, I'd try that one.

The pics don't show the front of it. More specifically, the lip because on most cases like this the lip goes above the screen and makes the Smart Cover unable to lay flat. The coverbuddy is the only one I saw that lays flush but I also want matte black so I'm looking for an alternative brand.

Yeah, I'd like to see the front. Belkin states you can get these at Best Buy, but they aren't listed on their site, nor have I seen them in-store.

BestBuy has some buy rocketfish. That's what I'm using now. They have clear(I have), grey, pink. $19.99 so you save $10.

The front doesn't have a lip so my Smart Cover lays flat.

Not sure about the Mini version, but the Snap Shield on my 3rd gen works great. The Smartcover is flat.

I also had the cracking issue, Belkin replaced it without a problem.

I saw the clear at BB, but I won't use a clear one as they tend to show scratches and dust a lot more. I'll keep an eye out for the grey one though. Thanks!

Agreed. My Smart Cover laid flat as well. Other than the small crack, which like I said they replaced, I loved my Snap Shield. It was a great accessory.

Just a heads up, I just went to order this and with shipping and tax it came out to $41.00. No thanks, Belkin. If this ever shows up in Best Buy like the other ones have, I may check it out then.

Just found this on Amazon for 29.99 with free shipping so I ordered one. I recently went naked but the fingerprints on the Black/Slate are driving me crazy. I'll post some pics once it arrives.
