has anyone bought any of these products? What have your experiences been? I've heard mixed reviews of the iRock and difficulty with reception. The concept of an FM transmitter sounds great, but I'm curious to hear any experiences with these products.

I suppose I could just get the cassette adapter? That just seem right to use with the iPod though.

I got an FM transmitter that was a cradle that plugged into the cigarette lighter. It stunk. I live in Los Angeles and the FM spectrum is so crowded that I couldn't find a clear frequency. Maybe in another area it would be better. I returned it the next day and got the cassette adapter. It sounds fine.

the iTrip is not out yet. pretty common knowledge. also pretty funny, considering by the time it's released it'll be obsolete (won't work with new ipods without a redesign)

The iTrip started shipping last Friday, April 25. So, it is out. I haven't received mine yet, but I'm expecting it within the next week or two. I ordered it on April 23, and I know they have a ton of backorders to fill.

As for the new iPods and the iTrip, Griffin said they should have an iTrip for the new iPods ready in a few weeks.

RBR i wouldn't hold my breath. I ordered mine March 9, and it has nto shipped yet so I'm sure yours is a little ways behind me.
