My Homepod - the big one, started playing bells in sets of 3 for no reason tonight. I checked maybe some how a phone call was coming in, or a text message or whatever, but nope. So I eventually told Siri to stop. I have even heard in the past a buzzer sound. Now these have to be coming in via the wifi , but I have no clue. I do not have a door bell or using the unit as a hub.

anyone else have this happen or am I haunted by odd electrons?

I’d start first by making sure that you’ve restricted access to your HomePod to people you know (as someone may be pranking you).

You can do this from the Home app by selecting the Home icon (icon of a house in the upper left corner), then selecting Home Settings from the list. From there, scroll down to Allow Speaker & TV Access and make sure the settings in the screenshot below are set to prevent outside access.
