Benchmark comparison between MacBooks 2Ghz and

Anyone have a benchmark comparison between MacBooks 2Ghz with 512mb ram and MacBook 2Ghz with 2gb ram?

I just ordered 2 1gb ram sticks for my macbook and I was wondering if anyone has done any benchmark tests between the two setups?

If you havent could you explain how big of a difference it made on your MacBooks performance. (Just an estimate)

Sorry, I don't have an exact number for how much faster your MacBook will be with 2GB of RAM, but rest assured, you will see a big improvement in speed when you install the extra RAM EAH22.

Thanks, I feel better about my purchase, I am not impressed with the speed of my MacBook when I run garageband fcp or photoshop (under rosetta) so hopefully I wont be disappointed.

RAM in my opinion makes a huge difference in the performance of your Mac. I know that I noticed a decent improvement in performance when I upgraded the RAM from my Power Mac G5 from 1GB to 2GB. I am sure you will notice an even larger improvement in performance going from 512MB to 2GB of RAM.

Black 2GHz MacBook here with upgraded RAM..

I can't say about 2GB, but according to XBench, I got a very solid 12-15% overall speed increase by doubling it up to 1GB! It definitely helps keep iMovie from bogging down on longer more complex edits. Now if they'd just make the thing use the second core more efficiently.. (HELLO 10.5!)
