I was wondering if the benchmarks Steve showed at MacWorld were unfair. I mean the new MacBook Pro trounces the Powerbook G4 in both SPECint_rate2000 and SPECfp_rate2000, I am not really sure what these benchmarks show, but out of curiousity I looked round for benchmarks of a Quad G5 and it scored 32.4 thats only slightly beter than the MacBook Pro, does anyone know how these new MacBook Pros's do in real world tests like MP3 encodes and video transcodes, because there is absolutely know way they are nearly as fast as a quad G5.
