BerryKN Big Sur patcher safe to use?

I apologise in advance if this question has been asked before but I am worried that if one can patch Big Sur to work on older macs, could there be some kind of malware installed with it.I am worried that something like keystroke logger could be inside the patched install, or some type of other malware. Is using the BerryKN Big Sur patcher safe in regards to security? Can it be trusted?
