What are good phones, preferably new, at this price point? Looking for something with a lag free experience, decent camera, sufficient RAM, and a clean version of Android. Nothing with an EMUI or something of that sorts. I may need something to hold me over that is not iOS until the Pixel 3 comes out.

I thought you bought a Note 8 and then were looking at a Nokia? What the hell dude will you ever be happy with a phone?
Not being negative or anything but if your phone hunt is driving me insane I dread to think the effect it's having on you.

I haven’t opened the Note 8. I just saw some stuff on the Pixel 3 and want to consider a stop gap phone to get the Pixel 3.

Xiaomi Mi A1?

Not a bad phone, just doesn’t have a warranty or have all the LTE bands I need.

Could get a used Pixel or Pixel XL on the higher end of your range that meets all of those requirements. Snagged a Pixel XL in mint condition for $195 back in March. So they’re out there. Great camera on the thing, easily beats my iPhone 7. And equally as smooth on Oreo. To be fair it’s a Verizon model but I’m using it on AT&T since they’re unlocked.
