I don't like arrays being called "drives".

In RAID-1, it will actually provide 1TB of storage.

If you want 2TB of actual RAID-1 storage, you should buy a good RAID-1 case, and 2 2TB WD Caviar Green drives.

I am using a 2TB WD external hard drive like this:

I have been using a WD drive for a few months now wiout a problem. However my number one pick is a LaCie or Seagate. I am still using a 40GB model still after 6 years or so. Not trying to take away anything away from WD as I do intend to buy one of there products for myself soon

I've always used WD in both 2.5" and 3.5" and never had any problems.
Lacie uses various models of drives, non of which they make.
