Best 802.11g ethernet bridge?

I would like to set up a wireless network using airport express but there is one iMac that is not extreme-ready and I'm not going to install an old airport card in it just so it will slow down the network. Has anyone had any experience with the various bridges available? I'm thinking netgear or d-link at the moment.

no personal experience, but most in the iMac discussion forums at apple like the linksys WET11 ethernet bridge since it works without drivers and has an easy web based setup interface. I'm not sure, but I think the others generally require drivers, whcih is just another thing to go wrong.

Linksys is the way to go, they are owned by Cisco and make some of the best quality networking available. I recently purchased a linksys bridge and it was basically plug and play, very good quality too.

hmmm, so if i run an ethernet cable from a non-airport extreme mac into the airport express it will allow the non-airport mac to gain access to the existing wireless network?

Yeah, you run a ethernet cable from your iMac to the Express, and it'll connect to your Extreme wirelessly. I plan to buy one for my wireless-less PC. Sure, it's about $30 more than most other wireless-ethernet bridges, but it has another uses - such as AirTunes and the capability to be a router itself. Awesome deal if I say so myself.
