Previous threads from others have been duds with no replies really. So I'm holding a little hope this one might be different ?

My wife got a new 16" M1 and absolutely loves it. So that said, I'd like to surprise her with something for Valentine's Day. She doesn't need RAM or anything like that. I'm looking for those little things like keyboard, mouse, or stand that make the experience that much better.

Since she already has those things, though, do you have other ideas?

There are a lot of decals that can be added to the lid of a MacBook Pro, if she goes in for that kind of thing. Google macbook pro 16" decal. (I wouldn't get the skins that cover the entire exterior, including the bottom, as they interfere with heat management.)

Just a random thought. The 16" comes with a couple Apple decals. They're black but if she isn't using them and you're sure she doesn't plan to, and you're a crafty sort, you could trim one into a valentine shape. Most people just leave them in the box (I think they come inside the packet with the guides or whatever paperwork). Warning: they're black!

Alternative (and perhaps more sanely), you can get a red Apple logo and trim it that way.

I bought this Leather case for my 16" M1 Max MacBook Pro and I adore it! It reminds me of the old Apple leather sleeve and it has a built in stand. It's a solid sleeve and my go to when I'm on the go.

"Must-have" crap I just bought for my new 14" MBP:
  • OWC Thunderbolt 4 dock
  • OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dual Displayport adapter
  • Plastic snap-on case from Amazon; cheap off-brand.
  • Keychron mechanical keyboard.

The dock in particular I spent a lot of time researching. Very happy with this OWC dock. While I have a few aesthetic complaints, it's functionally perfect and does what I wanted: two 1080p displays (and capable up to dual 4k60), speakers, Logitech StreamCam, Blue Snowball mic, gigabit Ethernet, and power delivery over a single cable.

I also want to buy this one, but in the description, MBP 16" 2021 doesnt appear at compatible devices.
How does it fit?

For me, my best addition has been the TS3 thunderbolt dock. It doesn't have to be that one, but these single cable docks with a million ports are awesome!
